Vietnamese Chamber Of Commerce Athletic Award
On December 16th 2006. The Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce gave Nam Phan an award for athletics, and also for all the dedication that he had shown for the Vietnamese-American communities. The nominees for this award were undefeated San Shou Champion, Cung Le, and major league fill in pitcher Danny Graves. When asked how Phan felt about winning this award, his response was “HELL YEA! I WAS TOTALLY THE UNDERDOG IN THIS ONE. I didn’t think I was going to beat the undefeated kickboxing champion and a major league pitcher. ”
