Phan drops out of the 6th American International Championships

When asked about why Phan had dropped out of the tournament, Phan's reply was: "my coaches and I thought it would be a good idea for me not to do the tournament because I don't want to have a freak accident happen to me that will cause me not to participate in the upcoming Strikeforce event against Josh Thompson." Phan also said: "Even though I be competing, I will be there to support and coach my fellow APEX JIU JITSU brothers to victory."

6th American International Championships - SAT. Nov 18th

Nam Phan will be competing at the 6th. American International Championships on Saturday, Nov 18th. He will be competing at 160lbs. and below for the advance division.

The American International Championship is open to all men, women & youth 13-17 years old.

The tournament will feature both Brazilian jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling Divisions

The tournament will take place on Saturday November 18th at the Long Beach City College located in Long Beach, CA.
